What is the Closer Security SOS Bracelet?

The Closer Security SOS Bracelet is a wearable safety device that, with a single button press, sends your location and 10-second audio logs to the Closer Security app. It's designed to help keep you safe by alerting your trusted contacts in emergencies.

How does the SOS feature work?

When you press the button once, the bracelet activates and begins recording 360 audio logs of 10 seconds each while simultaneously sending your real-time location to the Closer Security app. Each log can take up to 5 minutes to be displayed on the app.

How do I set up the bracelet?

To use the bracelet, you must first download the Closer Security app on your smartphone and configure the device. Follow the in-app instructions to pair the bracelet via Wi-Fi or GSM, set up your child's details, and customize your preferences.

LED Indicators:

  • Green LED - Indicates Wi-Fi status is on when Wi-Fi is connected
  • Red LED - Indicates GSM power status
  • White LED - Indicates network status; when blinking, connected to network; if only in on state, trying to connect to network
  • Blue LED - Recording status; when button is pressed or recording starts, it will glow continuously; if button is long-pressed, it starts blinking, indicating it's ready to go into OTA mode; when button is released, light stays on, indicating we are in OTA mode
  • Red LED near charging port - Turns on when connected to charging; when fully charged, blue LED will turn on and red LED will turn off
What connectivity options does the bracelet support?

The bracelet can connect to the Closer Security app using either Wi-Fi or GSM (cellular data), depending on your preference and availability. Ensure your device has an active connection for the SOS feature to work properly.

How long does the battery last?

The bracelet is equipped with an 800mAh battery, which lasts up to one day with normal use. For optimal performance, we recommend charging it daily using a C-type charging cable (5V).

Can I use the bracelet without the app?

The bracelet requires initial configuration with the Closer Security app to function. The app is essential for receiving location data, audio logs, and managing your emergency settings.

What happens if I'm in an area with no Wi-Fi or GSM signal?

If there's no connectivity, the bracelet will not be able to send location or audio logs in real-time. However, it may store data locally (if available) and transmit it once a connection is reestablished—check the app settings for offline options.

How do I charge the bracelet?

Use the included charging cable to connect the bracelet to a USB power source. We recommend charging it daily to ensure it's ready when you need it.

When charging, the red LED near the charging port will turn on. When fully charged, the blue LED will turn on and the red LED will turn off.

Can I customize who receives the SOS alerts?

Yes! Through the Closer Security app, you can add and manage a list of trusted contacts who will receive your location and audio logs when the SOS button is pressed.

Is the bracelet waterproof?

The Closer Security SOS Bracelet is splash-resistant but not fully waterproof. Avoid submerging it in water to prevent damage.

What should I do if the bracelet isn't connecting to the app?

Ensure the bracelet is charged, within range of Wi-Fi or GSM, and properly paired with the app. Restart both the bracelet and app, then reattempt pairing. Contact customer support if issues persist.

How long do the logs stay in the app?

Logs are stored in the Closer Security app permanently.

Who is the Closer Security SOS Bracelet for?

It's ideal for anyone prioritizing personal safety—such as students, elderly individuals, travelers, or those working alone. It provides peace of mind by keeping you connected to loved ones in emergencies.
